It can be recongized by its dense tannins and its profound color, its complex aromas of fruit, elegant structure and a good capacity for growth.
It represents a vigorous variety which buds rather late, with straight canopy and a short distance between nodes.
The wine is of intense red color, with aromas of prune, violet hues, a good body, alcoholic, aromatic and with a characteristic herbal taste.
Through aging, it becomes distinct and delicate. In blend with other varieties, its organoleptic qualities clearly improve.
